I think if you buy when then become available in the UK, you can't fail to make money, however, due to my nature, I can't stop thinking about losing money.

I think it's highly unlikely that the share price will go down any time soon, but when it comes to risk like this, i'm such a fanny

The thing with Facebook is how is it to make more money for the shareholders without upsetting the users?

I think it's a big fook off bubble that is going to burst after the geek gets a whole heap of peoples cash first.

100bn based on what? No real tangible assets and only popular until something else becomes 'cool' it's not like Google or Microsoft etc.

Apple shares were at 400ish when 4S was announced, they hit 610 last month and now sitting 530ish! I was going to buy some but bought lots of apple stuff instead haha!

It's a risk but with companies such as Apple, Google, Facebook I wouldn't worry too much.

Not convinced the value will go up that much. Apple and Google have a stranglehold over the market and are pretty much rock solid.

Not so sure on facebook. Theres already loads of people getting bored of it and no amount of 'additional features' can sort that can it?
I'm prepared to be wrong but I can't see the value going up that much.

I think it's too big a gamble, there haven't been any comparable IPOs in recent years so it's hard to say whether it will go up or down.

Of course its on the downturn, how on earth are you going to recover that money, never mind any additional appreciation of the value.

Probably some money to be made while its still in the bubble but I wouldn't go in for the long term. That's not say I'd want to go in for shorts either, no idea when it will burst, but it will.

And the Facebook team will be fully aware off this.

Only a mentalist would buy. Facebook will become a 'commercial' enterprise, they have already tested pay to post marketing. Users will leave.

The owners / team however have done the right thing and stand to make bucketloads.

just the same way youtube show you personalised adverts i think lee.

always get them come up for halfords cleaning products after i've been on the site.

i don't use facebook anymore, it's become boring and a site to check up on people.

my nan and mum often go on there and be nosey hence why i don't use it.
