So after a grand total of about 80 days I have sold the Clio 197....

I dont need another car, but I do fancy something else.

I think I am in touch with the used car market but wouldnt mind seeing if there is anything I have overlooked with this criteria. The reality is that the girlfriend will probably want to use it most of the time and having looked I dont want an E46 M3 either;

- Up to 7 years old
- Budget of up to £17k (for the right car, perfect condition, FSH etc)
- No restriction on bodystyle i.e. coupe, cab, saloon, 4x4 etc.
- Up to 70k miles
- Atleast a 2.0. engine 200bhp+
- Flexible on fuel

So far, I have considered;

- Porsche Boxster S
- BMW 335i Coupe
- Golf R32

Over to you CS

Liking that. Seen a 2007 335i MSport locally that looks good but it is manual (not a massive issue) but the original owner hasnt specified it at all. So its a bit pov.

I'd be looking at 330d convertible for that money.

335i coupe or cab in black with red leather.

Perfect car for that budget and fairly sensible

That S Type is outrageous value for money, but not my bag.

I am seriously swaying towards a circa 2005/2006 987 Boxster S, but my criteria is pretty inflexible so could be waiting a while. It looks like I have missed a perfect one as it is 'under offer' but have the feelers out elsewhere.

go for the 335d , you will enjoy it alot more than a 335i or 330d.

fuel economy is very good on them too

Basalt Black
Black Sports Seats
19" Carrera S alloys
Bose
etc....would be the start of my perfect spec..

I want to be a bit smart with my purchase and try to buy something that is not likely to drop in value quickly which I why I think the Porsche (all be it the wrong time to buy) is a bit safer than my other choices?

98% sure BMW don't do a 335d. Goes up to 330 d then the 5 gets the bigger 3.5 diesel (535d)
