I actually believe they have a better starting 11 It's been a long time since any English squad actually looked top class really. This is a young and very talented Belgium side.

Mignolet is a decent goalie

Kompany is the best CB in the PL right now.
Vermaelen (when he's fit) is a top class defender.
Vertonghen and Alderweireld are both highly rated young players who are wanted by the top teams.

Fellaini is a great CM.
Defour has loads of potential and looked great before going to Porto, but not seen much of him recently.
Witsel is a very creative player who looks to have a good future.
Hazard needs no introduction.
Lukaku... not so sure yet but Chelsea spent big money so they must see something.
Dembele is wanted by the top teams in the PL!

Not just saying it as an England hating Scotsman, I really do believe they have more talent in the starting 11

Without him, Vermaelen and either of the two Ajax boys is still a much better CB pairing than England have.

Kompany without a doubt is better than the equivalent English players. The rest I wouldn't say were particularly any better than englands equivalent starting xi. Hazard potentially could be but is untested, will be interesting to see how he fairs in the pl.

I'm not saying that Fellaini is better than any equivalent English player, or any of the others for that matter. I was simply highlighting some of the better players in the squad. England have good individuals but they play shit at International level. Oh, except Hazard. He is better than any English equivalent

We have three Belgian players, Courtois, De Bruyne, Lukaku, and possibly a fourth in Hazard. I think the first two might have injuries, though

Will be an interesting game, I guess.
