just cleared out my cupboards and about to throw away about 20-30 moddified car magazines.....

Had a flick through all the show reports...

I miss the good old days... Litterally in every show report there were fantastic cars, mega music, topless girls everwhere and the sun was blazing!!!!!

Shows at pod, crail, brighton, southend and many more.... About 2-3 show reports in every magazine!!

All of them looked crazy!!

What's has happened to our summer, our shows and the whole scene...

Anyone else remember the good old days?

Redline rumble!!! That was a great show....

Think the moddified scene has died over the last 5years (partly due to new laws and the government).... Makes me slowly hate this country and its weather!! Lol

Remember driving round southend and it being absolutly packed with modified cars, and lakeside after would be crazy 100's of cars racing around. Just not the same now

Is that your latest saying?

At least it's more fun and entertaining than driving in a straight line quarter of a mile at a time.

You missed my point. People don't do it for fun, it's all serious.

Nobody goes and meet things and do things just for fun, like the old days. All this race and track stuff is people being all serious. You say it's fun, and I'm not saying it isn't. It's not the same at all.

I have fun at trackdays.... I meet a lot of folk at trackdays....

I find that more fun than sitting in a car park like a ned, eating McDonalads..... wasting time away.

That's not what I'm saying Adam. Back in the day people just did things, now they get questioned about if it's fonna make it handle better etc. cant just lower a car for its looks it seems. See thread by sunz. Hence the lack of fun IMHO.

Being honest I've lost the fun with my own car. To the point where I'm just not going to bother much more and just enjoy it for what it is on the back roads round here. As that's fun.

Its not worth going to cruises and having fun on the roads any more you will only end up with points or worse. Just cant get away with certsin things any more. Cruising has become more about cars that look good standing still more about smothed bumpers now cars on the floor

Track days are un-doubtedly fun, but nothing quite beats an adrenalin induced street race... Not that I would ever race on the road of course...
