That was after 18 years and at times 40+ a day.
Anybody who says they can't quit just doesn't want to

Wasn't hard at first as I had a chest infection which meant I couldn't smoke for about a week and decided to keep going
As above, had a chest infection, stopped. Lasted about 4 months and started smoking again. Then about 6 months after that I got another really bad chest infection so started the process again
Yes
January 2011 the first time round
Yes, and I still smoke I'll have a few each week, varies though, some weeks none, some weeks 2 or 3, if I go out drinking I'll have 10 or 15 in a night.

I just cold turkey quit, I think all these methods are half arsed and you are kidding yourself on if you dont just stop.
I have found that you will eat so much more crap I will be heffer soon.
Just be amazed at your senses coming back, smell, taste, everything is so much better.
You wont regret it.

I found it quite easy. Just stopped cold turkey, but with those nicotette mint things, id highly reccomend them
I reckon ive put on half a stone at least, its not good.
Done 6months now and don't get any cravings really.

1. First few days were hard. Especially at times when you wanted one most (after eating, when bored, etc)
2. I quit using the 21mg(?) patches and inhaler. If you go to the chemist, they give you 2 weeks worth of patches at prescription price. I did this for about 5 weeks, and stopped myself early.
3. I did gain weight, not much though.
4. Haven't smoked for just over a year ago now.
5. The feeling never leaves you. I still get little cravings to smoke, and I've heard stories about people who have quit for 15 years and have just decided to start smoking again. But the cravings are very small and weak. They don't overcome you and vanish within moments.

It's entirely habbit. And it's true that they say it takes 21 days to break it. After that its a doddle.
