Say you have a car on finance but you wanted to make a few adjustments i.e. strip all the rear out/new exhuast etc would this void anything? As you're still paying for the car, althoguh it's not legally yours.

Well what they say is if the car breaks and its down to the modifications it voids the warrenty. i have a car on finance with a custom cat back system but i have kept the original one just in case anything goes wrong.

Can do what you like I guess, the main problem is the manufacturer warranty.

The car belongs to the finance company. I'd imagine there is a clause in the agreement covering self inflicted damage to the vehicle and it would probably fall under that.

More to the point why in gods name would you want to pull the rear interior out?

Why on earth would you buy a brand new car and rip out the back

Not like it'll make it look any better either

If it's on finance i.e. it's an un-secured loan then the car's yours. If it's leased or the loan is secured on the car belongs to the finance company so it's probably best not to pull it to bits. It's probably best not to pull it to bits anyway

Running correct tyre pressure, not running a full tank of fuel, going on a diet and having a shit before you leave the house would be much better ways to spend your time

Imagine taking a girl home and having to try and explain why you've got no back seats.. I bet she'd be well impressed and seriously looking forward to the next date!

DaveyLC: Sounds like the better idea. Better to have no back seats, than back seats with jizz all over them no?

BenG: Unfortuanly these don't come in 3 doors.

Plan on changing the wheels on mine to winter tyres at winter. Think so long as it's not permanent and you can stick it back to how it was there's no issue.

If you drive around in a 5 door car with no back seats I dont think you'll have to worry about jizz going anywhere other than into a piece of kleenex.

Realistically how much weight would you lose but stripping out the back?

This is become a fetish now. I can understand people that race and are chasing lap/drag times and need to shave the odd second off but seriously on an almost new supermini?

Yeah bit silly that, I'd keep it standard - at least until you actually own the car...

New fabias sit quite high as standard. If you make the interior lighter the ride height will become higher.

I weighed my interior when I removed it from my Corsa B, it was 42 kg, but this did include the spare wheel!

It does make a noticeable difference but most of that is due to the sound...
