Basicly i have the original 360 from when they first came out, and only just found out that i have not been playing in HD ( just always had that blue green scart cable thing). Was gona get a HDMI cable but just realised it doesnt have a slot for it.

So have i just to buy a new 360 to be able to play in HD?

I'm assuming you got an arcade edition so you won't have got the component cables for HD.

All you need is this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HD-COMPONENT-AV-VIDEO-CABLE-WIRE-LEAD-FOR-XBOX-360-/370470926254

Can't believe you've not been playing in HD, the difference is massive!

EDIT: Saying that, I missed that you said blue/green cable. Sounds like you already have the correct one, is it as pictured on the ebay link?

Just make sure the switch is on HD and all the cables are plugged into the TV (minus the yellow one) rather than using the scart adaptor thing.

VGA also offered 720 (don't think it supported 1080) resolution from what i remember.

I didn't think it was true HD without a HD console and HDMI cable

Prehaps I'm wrong then.

Go into display setting or something like that in the dashboard. You can change the display out put settings. After one of the dash updates it had reset mine to 420 even tho the switch was on HD and i use the R/G/B Component cables.

My xbox is using the Composite Red/blue/green cables and is 1080p. You can just change the setting on the dashboard.
