So the GF's Golf was getting on and i spied a very cheap Lupo GTI needing some tlc.

Managed to do a straight swap which i though was a cracking deal, Golf had 125k and was getting sluggish, Lupo on 83k and still pretty tight.

Shall let pictures do the talking.

Needed a few bits of attention, no real issue as i'm a mechanic, paintwork was in a state, think Stevie Wonder sprayed the outside of it.
ABS Light, Airbag & EML lights were all on.

Traced the ABS fault to a fucked module and some dodgy wiring to the sensors, so it's off to get reconditioned.
Airbag lights on due the passenger seat wiring, so the multiplug will be cut out, and someones left the impact sensors in the door disconnected (I assume who ever painted the inside of it)

MOT wise it needs the front droplinks replaced and some new wiper blades.

Got a new front bumper for it as we werent a fan of the smooth one and to be honest it was fucked.

Havent any pics from when we got it aside these ones.

Its Mazda RX-8 Titanium Grey, opted for the 2008 Colour code.

New bumper makes a massive difference and i cant believe how bad the car was beforehand now its been done!

Anyway here's some photos after i fitted the wheels last night.

As we picked it up at 70 o clock.

By 8 o clock.

Need to put 175/50 tyres up front as well and maybe run spacers up front.

Have painted the badge Silver as well, just need to get the airbag light out and thats the dash clear after buying it with 4 warning lights!

Look good

Used to have a Raven Blue one and I loved it, been looking at getting another but hard to find a decent priced one in good condition.

Cat D registered.

I think it's a non genuine bonnet thats fitted.

It's not quite finished yet but panel gaps are amongst the things to be seen to, as well as painting the tow covers.
