I am running 2 x 12" Infinity Subs from a Tornado 500W amp. It sounds great when cranked up but if the stereo is off or on low there is this really irritating buzzing and popping from the subs. I had it before on my old 10" but on these it is twice as bad! Any ideas? The earth is good and the power cable is a good thick one.

Just my 2 pence worth.
I had exactly the same problem with my sound system.
Apparently it were down to the audio left and right (RCA) cable being down the same side of the car as the power cabling.
Tried rewiring to no avail, tried re-earthing etc etc etc.
Bought one of these badboys and it cured all buzzing.
