If your wall mounting your tv to the wall, what do people do regarding Xbox etc, i can only think of deep shelves underneath.
Any pictures of either your own or someone elses?

Never been a big fan of the glass tbh.
Was thinking a normal wall mount with some Ikea box shelves, wondered if anyone has done similar

i have an oak unit underneath for the PS and sky box
surround sound unit sits ontop
a cable cover from ikea hides the cables really well, and is paintable to the same colour as the wall

Are the false wall's a ball ache to do? Getting a 47" tv and want it wall mounted but am worried about all wires on show, plud cant find a decent cabinet or modern looking shelves to put surround sound unit, xbox ect on :-/

Just batton off the wall, board it, fill it and paint it.

Problem is when you counter sink either tis or speakers you are stuck with it, at least with surface mounting you can update the kit without re-doing the wall.

No point in having that tv or speakers wall mounted imo when the biggest cabinet ever is sat below it.

All my AV equipment is in the dining room on the opposite side of the fish tank, and the TV/projector are in the lounge. It's all controlled with the standard remotes (at least at the moment) using an infra-red remote extender kit that has a receiver in the lounge going to an amplifier and splitter that can then send the signal to up to 16 devices. Works perfectly and much neater than having all the gear on show in the lounge :-)
This is the best pic I've got on the PC;
But the tv is on the wall, projector opposite and motorised screen above the TV. All the AV gear is the other side of those pillars (where the fish tank now is)

We're did you get the extender kit from? Got a cuboard under the stairs wouldn't mind putting it all in there out the way be much easier, although would still need to run all the wires don't want to start cutting into the plaster board ect either :-/

QED roomlink is a good kit to use but expensive. Keene do an IR extender kit too
Dont mount shelves under your wall mount tv it looks awful!
