Not Ayia Napa!

Has anyone been and can anyone recommend the hotel/s they stayed in? Not keen on the package deals I'm finding online so looking to book hotel, flights etc all separately but need some recommendations from people (not sure I trust online review sites either tbh what with the recent news that travel agents were hyping up shit holes )

Date of flights is 6/7th July

Cheers

Larnaca is nice, and it's right by the airport so no long transfer!

I'm not sure on hotels though as I stayed on an raf base

Paphos been twice as Dads mate has an apartment, quite nice place pretty quiet and relaxing around Tomb of Kings Road area!

Would go back for a lazy week of lying on a beach in the sun!

Beach was nice in Protarus, the rest of the place is a dive imo, like being in Blackpool, you wouldnt think you were ina different country if it wasnt for the heat.

Full of loud mouth brits
cheesy bars (friends bar / only fools and horses bar etc...)
Pizza Hut, Mcdonalds etc...

but the beach was nice as i said, sea was spot on.

Yea not interested in cheesy crap if possible, went to Salou last year and it was like Skegvegas in Spain, Paphos seems to be cheaper of all the places and Larnaca is good as you say that is where (one of the two?) the airport is...

Been Ayia Nappa 4 times. First time was awesome in about 2004, went down hill each time from there.

Going Paphos for my wedding on Thursday so hopefully won't be full of rowdy brits (apart from us lot )

I went to Napa a couple of years ago. We went for exactly what it's there for, to get fucked up It was ace!

Paphos couldnt be any more different. Quiet, tidy, very pleasant.

And on the choice between Self Catering and All Incusive, we went SC to Spain last year and regretted it, we ended up eating Pizza at the local restaurant every night and getting ripped off It was either that or Burger King

Is there plenty of local cuisine stuff in and around Paphos, more for local people rather than your mass produced Maccies and other bollocks?

Either way, I'm only seeing All Inclusive at £100p/p more for the week anyway so its probably worth it
