Listed the Vectra on gumtree this morning and since I've had a few offers (bad ones) and "texts"

Anyway, this guy rings, really pushy, want the car immediately, can't wait till tomorrow or even later tonight. Convo kind of went..

“Can I just come and get the car now?”

“no sorry I’m at work”

“I’ll come to your work, aren’t you in it?”

“no, I’m in another car, it’s at home”

“well can’t I come to your work and get the key and go and collect it?”

“no sorry, plus I wanted to valet it, it’s messy”

“not bothered”

“well, I need to dig out the receipts for the cambelt work and other stuff”

“not bothered”

Granted he might just be pushy because maybe it's a good deal? But his unwillingness to wait and being bombarded with calls from him since is putting me off

Some of you will know the problems I had with the Audi sale, so I'm not exactly looking forward to this.

I bought the corrado in a hurry because the corsa broke.

Wasn't even up for sale and looking back maybe i got a bit pushy, he didn't have time to wash it or anything, literally grabbed a few bits out of it and i took it

Corrado.

This is what bothers me. So how do you think that'd go down? Like dodgy notes or somethin like that? Need to know what the tricks are really.

First question was the old chestnut "what's the lowest you'll take?"

Already had another guy offer Ł1150 so I just said more than that offer, so he offered Ł1200 as long as he could get it immediately haha

Hard to say really, it could be something dodgy and previously that's what I'd have thought but after seeing the guy that bought my Dad's old 740, he got a train up from London, on a day when London had pretty much ground to a halt due to snow, my Dad picked him up from the local station, offered to take him to our unit so he could see it under lights as it was dark out, he just said no so they came back home, filled in the V5 and he was gone within about 5 minutes, this was within 24 hours of the car being advertised too. The guy didn't even know where the car was, he just rang on the morning from Piccadilly station said he was coming to buy the car, and where does he need to get the train to because he was already on his way Once he drove away we never heard from him again.

what did i miss with the audi sale?

id be torn as to whether its dodgy or genuine, his car may have been written off or something and is desperate need of one and if its a great deal then I can see why he is being pushy, although he does seem to be far too pushy at the same time.

Audi sale saga was in Premium lounge unfortunately, so even I can't get to it now. That went on for months Guy texting me moaning. Steve's comment to send back was best "why are you texting me about your car mate?"

I put my iPhone on GumTree. Had some cunt from a local takeaway pestering me 24/7 about buying it for Lamb Masala and half a dirty kebab.
