Not using one in mine and its working fine, the linkage just needs modifying out of the way of the rack then you're all good

iv got the top ones for mine like

mark, get onto david dixon, they sell a full conversion kit thats bomb proof

it tends to vary per shell with good vaux build quality. ive built a few without and a few have needed it
