Are there any problems specifically associated with the 1.5 TD Corsa?
What are the benefits (if any)?

never had any problems with mine. only thing thats a known problem is the valve clearence, easyily sorted though and has probably already been done recently.
also can get silly power for little cash and still pull a decent mpg.

oh cons, the brakes are cr4p and the handling has much to be desired. they need at least 236 mm vented discs and an antirole bar.
however mine kicks ass on corners now.

Brakes aren't a problem, neither is suspension/anti-roll bars.
Nothing really wrong with the engine then?
Thanks

I think a 106 XSi should be your next car.

if you want it as a daily drive then you wont have any problems, my engine has done 140 thousand and never had any trouble with it.

i had one for 2 years no problems what so ever (apart from the rad that went). starts first time, resists a good thrashing and power gains are pretty good. recommend them a lot.

I'm not bothered with the sound of the engine - performance wise, I'll probably be stuck behind other traffic anyway...
