Jap all the way, usually reliable and some properly nice cars have been produced over the years,evo 8 fq400 or the 9 for me

all best for different reasons

german - best build quality decent reliability
jap - reliable, generally balls out nutter type cars
british - best cars for character, and styling
french - flair, arguably best handling - best hot hatches
