Bid on an item today, hoping to get it before the weekend (and before i forgot) i watched the auction end and paid via paypal the amount - winning bid £19.00 + £1.25 p&p = £20.25- straight away.

Just checked my messages randomly and have received a message from the Seller saying 'pay with cheque or postal order to [address]...or add 10% to cover paypal fees'

They cant do that, surely? I can see where this one is going before it gets there

no they can't do that, but basically they will probably refund you, telling eBay that the item was lost or damaged and try and sell it again.

pay the fee, then wait til you can open a dispute and say it never came, eBay will probably settle in your favor and you will get a refund of the item cost
