What did you find the best pain relief for your wisdom teeth?

I think one of mine is appearing... Swollen roof of my mouth and gum line. Went to the dentist and he said its 1 of 3 things and can't do anything till next week after my course of antibiotics.

I've been taken neurofen but that's only working for 2 & a bit hours... & paracetamol don't touch the pain

I'd have quite happily have put up with keeping my wisdom teeth if i'd have know what the pain of having them removed would be like.

Still hurts like 3 months later!

Mine have been giving me problems for the last 12 months, the top 2 came through with a little discomfort now the bottom two are pushing against the front teeth and are making my jaw click every time i eat. Dentist is no use as I can never get in to see them, never any appointments avalable!

I just use Ibuprofen and paracetomol, just takes the edge off the pain though

I found the best for mine was a general anaesthetic, paracetamol and ibuprofen at 2 hour intervals and 4 days off work plus a salt rinse every time I ate.

I have no wisdom.

Second this. I had wisdom tooth problems about 2 month ago. Apply a small size blob to tooth and gum surrounding and it goes as numb as when the dentist actually injects it.

Highly reccomend and its only a fiver lasted me a week using is constantly

Getting my top two through now and the left side is aching like mad. I think it's also scratching on the cheek a bit, so that's swollen and sore. It's hard to open my mouth the whole way. Going on holiday in a couple of weeks so timing isn't great. Was thinking the other day that it can't be long until I'm due a checkup, so may just book one anyway.
