is it ok to use castrol edge 5w30 fully synthetic in my C20XE? its not fully re-built or anything like that, just had re-conditioned head with port and polish, and carbs and cams. will it be ok to use or not?

It's a bit thin, will probably tap it's tits off.
use GM 10w 40.

5w30 is too thin mate, it will tap like fook!
I used Castrol 15/40 in my last one and was alot smoother and quieter. Depends how your engine is I guess, was alot smoother on 15/40 than it was 10/40 anyways

I ran 10-40s but had tomany leaks so now on 15-40s no leaks

I concurr... fully synthetics aint what the engine was designed for. The gm 10w-40 stuff will do it best. I say stock up from autovaux at pv for about a 10er a can

Just have to wait 11 months haha.
Try "vauxpartsworld" that's where I get my gm oil. I collect so it's about £11 for 5 litres. However I'm pretty sure they have free delivery too
