Im thinking of getting rid of the redtop soon and go for something a bit newer and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with the 1.8 sri? Wanted to know about the handling and performance etc.
also how much do you think i could get for my corsa b redtop once the gearbox is back on and running etc.

Handling is average, speed is nice for a while but gets boring.
far from a comfy ride if lowered

Just springs tbh, Sheffield's road don't help though
first and second are actually decent when setting off.

I went from 5 b's to that, last B I had was a 135bhp x16 and much prefered the C.
The one above was Cat C too, got it at a steal of a price at the time. I'd happily have another.

think the sri came with 25mm lower springs than other models as well.
i lowered mine 40mm on standard shocks and it wasnt to bad + could actualy drive the car without having to slow down for every bump

I wouldn't say they were slow, 0-60 in 8 seconds is on par with a Fiesta ST. My Exclusiv came lowered 25mm from factory and I lowered it another 30mm on Eibach springs and the rides OK, you don't have to slow down for speed bumps but that doesn't mean it isn't rock hard.
They're cheap to buy and very cheap to insure too
