over last few weeks done few jobs to the van...... thought i would share few pics....

took engine apart

got wheels rubbed down and refurbished....

and painted something little different

engine bay parts also painted up

got a high flow inlet manifold ....... had few issues with air leak around the injectors but sorted now!

engine put back together

decided this week to make a splitter on a budget so cost around £15 for everything, i am quite happy with the look and maybe it will make slight difference on track! had issue with it falling off at higher speed last night but more screws and bolts on it now,

few more pics of how the van stands now! with roof bars also removed!

got few more little jobs i would like to do but not that much, going to have the map tweaked this next week to hopefully get most out of the new inlet manifold!

any other ideas of things i can do or comment welcome!

want to get strut brace, maybe fit stiffer front anti roll bar sometime!

:-)

also me and my brother have booked onto track day, saturday 22nd of september at angelsy, only £130! be good to get few from here coming along

Is that inlet a copy of the EDS or something? Where did it come from, and how much?

well i had it off the road being purely used for track days for about 2-3 years, got it back on the road this year! dont use it to much tho with having clio! unfortunatly not come across many cars to have bit of fun with!

dont really know about the rear lights, did have smoked lights i smoked myself few years back but then went back to standard ones! dont think there is much choice of lights for van/estates! :-(

yea inlet came from romania, it looks like a copy of the eds one, eds is around 500, courtneys one is 600 and this was 270 delivered! so thought it was worth the risk, quality is ok, have bought a thermal inlet gasket to give me more clearance past alternator tho! had few issues with sealing the injectors but sorted now! guy i bought it from was very helpful and sent me more o rings! should give me more power higher up the revs after the map tweak which is wot i want for track use!

The first pic of the wheels being sprayed I was but they look a lot better when on the van. Ever thought of a white/pink pearl though (lovely colour)

sounds a nice colour, not sure you would notice the pearl cos white wheels get dirty with brake dust so quickly!

i got a little batch of du pont flip paint few years back and really need to use it up so seems an idea to do the wheels! does not cost much to change colour really just a bit of time!

Thinking about it, you are right. if it was a show car then it would be alright but as a race motor it'll be pointless.

wot raceland seats.....mine are cobra evolutions....hehehe

they were looking bit tatty in white....silly colour to buy sooo after bit of measuring and few quote to re trim them took at risk of getting cobra evo covers from cobra and had a go at fitting myself!

seats looking tatty..

seat down to just foam and base

cut out harness holes to fit the cobra harness slots

new cover going on

all pulled tight

harness holes in with rubber gaskets on also

all back together apart from seat cusions which i got mum to cover in carbon look leather cloth

as for the seats i like them, they look the part and being a fraction of the price of cobra evos, have sat in corba evo and they are much more comfortable, more padding etc!
