Tbh I'd use Noddle, it's free to use as opposed to the cost of Experian

I dunno what Noddle is like but I'm sure Experian only cost like £2 for a one time credit report and it was very comprehensive.

Pay £2 and check, these agencies regulary make mistakes. Experian were saying I was not on the electoral role and had no address. This was having a massive impact on me getting a mortgage.

Although they sorted it out fairly quickly as it was their mistake if I hadn't checked it I would not have known

The £2 one is the statutory credit check - the subscription on the website shows the data in a different way. There's stuff on MSE about it all.

Definitely worth getting the check done before applying for credit - there could be a tonne of mistakes on your file you don't know about.

It's worth doing the £2 once in a while. It showed me that I still had 2 store cards active that I thought I had cancelled a long time ago. It turns out the stores in question both opened up a new account for me when I moved house so when I closed them, they only closed the account against my old address
