I went to an observatory down near Hastings to see this about two years ago. The two guy from The Sky At Night were there. They gave a talk and then stayed all night with us all telling us where to look and shit. Saw Saturn through a motherfuking massive scope.

I was out last week at about 3 in the morning and saw what looked like a star moving slowly across the sky, getting brighter then much duller all in the space of about 20-30secs. Thought it was a plane at first but it was definetely a solid white light, weirded me out a bit

Couldn't see shit last night as it was quite cloudy, but a few times when night fishing I've seen all sorts of stuff thanks to my google skymap app.

Nothing beats a night out away from the lights of human settlement to see all this stuff.
