Called Vauxhall the other day to get a price for a new Corsa B shell (3-Door, No Sun Roof, No Powersteering) and was quite surprised that they were only £1244 +VAT

Does the power steering affect the shell then?

Its very tempting to start with the blank canvas, especially in light of how good condition it would be in! Think of all the time saved wire-brushing

I agree - but you'll need a blank cheque as well as a blank canvas

i know somone whos going to build one
and the shell with all the bits works out at 5k which isent bad for a top semi race spec shell (thats with coilovers, 4pots, massive cage, light seats, new dash, F/G wings, doors boot lid, plastic windows etc etc)
then all u need is the engine, which again, i have seen Novas with 250bhp engines in with SBD throttlebodys go for 3k, buy one of then take the engine out and sell the shell on making maybe 1500 back.
i think for a top spec corsa your looking about about 10k
(well thats what my m8s got )
