Post Office are usually pretty competitive. I'm sure there's a website which tells you who is cheapest.

I found the local money shop to be good, I went to all the usual suspects like my bank (useless), PO (raping bastards) some big travel agents (competitive and price matched when I asked) but the local money shop seemed like a good honest independent and had a cracking rate.

M&S aren't the best, however they give you the rate you paid for the currency back if you take a reciept within 28 days. So that alone is worth it if you don't spend it all.

I've found a website James but all the best rates are in the city and It'd cost me more to go there and collect than to collect from somewhere local.

Will have a look for local places cheers will

Rhodes Dave, and not worried about getting it back as my old man has already offered to buy off me at whatever rate I get them at.

In York I've found that Ramsens and other pawn broker shops offer higher rates. Stay away from banks, barclays were advertising 1.49 for us dollar whereas it was as high as 1.54 elsewhere
