Xe just worried incase i paint it and it ruins paint due to the heat any ideas of a first coat to prevent it heat resistant ect

Do you have any balsamic vinegar to go with it mate?

ive never bothered with any heat resistant paint on rocker covers or calipers and never had any issues.
Make sure its 100% clean, Prime, Paint then lacquer...

When i done mine i just buffed the old stuff of with a wire wheel, cleaned it down with buffsol, etch primed it and painted it.

Etch primer mine also. It's been on a few years now but starting to bubble slightly. It does however get excessively warm quite often.

Unreal warn seen me coming out to ma b 2 hours later and the rocker cover still warn

Id just use some VHT primer.

Done loads with just primer, paint and lacquer. Perfectly fine fella.
