going to advertise my c20xe engine with the shafts hubs brakes mounts loom ecu box and power cap its the dizzy engine i have and its also had a brand new head no proof but the heads still bright silver so can see its new

How much do youz think its worth?

Varies on what history is with it, mileage, condition etc. But a good ball park figure is £500.

the engine was in the car when bought it so dnt no much about it bought the car off my m8 and he had a brand new head on it as the old 1 was knackered and you can see its a new had

should get £500 no bother.

although half and hour and a dremel and you can make any head look brand new.

Ano what your saying but ano my mate wouldnt lie and say he put one on if he handnt and its really quite its not ticky on start up

New head with no proof isn't a selling point tbh mate.

£500 these gone up in value. Think I paid £250 for mine and sold for similar

av had loads of redtop years ago and can remember the prices were mad i sold a unfished project in 2007 2008 for 800 lol

just been a long time since av tryed to sell 1

Mine jumped a tooth and needed a rebuild. Got £200 for it just a couple of days ago.

not so bad its in a track car the engine and am braking it to fund my gsi as its never on the track lol and its just lying about doing nothing

last few ive seen on ebay for example have all been around 400-500 for the engine not including the conversion parts. wether or not they sell for that i dont know, just seems to have doubled in price in the last couple of years.

yeah a seen 1 sell for £475 on ebay for the engine box and loom without the conversion stuff

dont see how iam being greedy if iam giving engine box shafts mounts huds brakes ecu powercap and asking for £475 and you sold a engine with just box loom ecu and ecotec pipe for £300

try and find the real history as all the redtops ive seen have always been under 100,000 lol

I dont have a clue what the engine was out of and dont no any history all i no is it had a new head and new gaskets but no proof so no point bringing up lol

all depends if you've spent 15k on the engine or not really doesn't it

i sold a bare block unfinished project, crank, coscast head, sump, starter, dizzy and a few other bits and pieces for just over 400 but it had been bored .5, honed, b.new core plus, crank balanced, head pressure tested, chemically cleaned and skimmed....

XE's are worth 1000's these days cos there so well known

the hole car owes me £1000 as av had it painted new coilovers wheels powder coated but iam putting the coilovers on my gsi same with the back box and putting the wheels on my corsa c am just basically trying to get something back out it now


But tbh if the engine doesnt sell it doesnt sell as i can keep it as a spare

for 300 i gave him, engine,box,loom,ecu,ecotec pipe and adaptor plate, afm, induction kit,mounts,shafts,exhaust manifold, a polished rockercover,cambelt cover and heatshield lol and even helpd him get it in his van

aw well then av got a fork lift so all put it in a pallet lol
