Corsa c accelerator's will generally feel more responsive because they are electric, whereas b's are cable so will feel heavier and need more input

The 1 litres seem to suffer this.
I'm sure you can sort it, new cable would be worth doing.

Had a go in my mates Corsa D once and the accelerator felt like a feather, it just mashed down with barely any effort put into it. It was very bizarre

I doubt you'd be able to get it as light as a Corsa C, because as said, the C pedal is electric instead of cable. My old B had a stiff pedal too, asked about it before and was just told it was normal. Then once had to drive another B a short distance and it was even stiffer than mine.

Its because the b uses a cable, the c and d dont, have you heard the term 'fly by wire' this means the throttle body is electrically controlled.
My mrs has an mr2 mk3 and that is on a cable throttke but doesnt feel that stiff at all. Try changing the cable.
