going to be painting my bay but not sure if i should re do it silver or black? bonnet and boot are matt black and bumpers/arches are gloss black...

Is this for the bodged together track car painted with rattle can?
If so, I can't see how it matters, just chuck what ever paint on you have...

Going by what the paintwork looks like on those bumpers and the obvious mess the boot will look like against the bumpers then i dont see why it matters.
Just do it whatever paint you have spare or leave it as it is.

I know it's your car and you can do what you want but are you seriously just making it look crap on purpose? Wouldnt cost much to have the bonnet and boot sprayed silver and re-do your bumpers and trims in matt black. Least it'll look acceptable then.

It doesnt matter if it looks crap its for the strip the money that jed could spend on getin it painted could be put to better use like more powerrr

Personally I don't like different coloured engine bays no matter what. I'd paint it the colour the car will be.

see what you mean mate but seen a few coloured cars with black bays and thought some of them pull it off.... who knows maybe a while down the like il do the car black lol

If you'd be happy with it fair enough really. I just think its a bit rough being a different colour. Always puts me off for some reason.
