I think I got this stuff:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CARBON-FIBER-Black-Wrap-Vinyl-Sheet-Sticker-1-22m-300mm-/190498408009?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2c5a970649
Was easy to work with and doesn't look too bad.

Another vote for that stuff.
Easy to work with. Probably just the same as all the others tbh.

this stuff takes practice to make perfect. if you mess it up, just rip it all off and start again.

Yeah I guess after I have done a couple will get better each time. Looks like the wrap is cheap enough to have a few goes at it.
Jim this is not for my car so no thread/pics.

Please outline basic technique you lovely man. I can see that most of it is common sense but you must have some lessons learned from when you did it which would be useful.

not especially most of it is just learning how to hold it and stretch it i nthe best way, which is impossible to explain really, you will only glean that info by trying it, note though that if you use heat you will be able to peel it back off as you go if it doesnt go down right first time

Yeah, make it larger than the area you plan on covering, and just work it around to the area's you can't see.
