Mini Torque if you avoid all the clique telling you what you 'must' do to your car in the way of mods!

Yeah minitorque is very bad for it, still a good source of info and most people are helpfull enough.
Also total mini and mini2 and motoringunderground are all good for mini info.

Mini2 is good for searching info, crap for anything else and for some reason crashes on me.

Minitorque is better for classifieds but for some reason also crashes on me.

Totalmini is the best forum but still isnt that busy but better than the rest.

drove a mini cooper s last night from bromsgrove to worcester, felt a bit sluggish imo, did drive nice though, nice and stable, would like to make a track car from one.

100% slower than the puma

No way is the Cooper S slower than the Puma. Yeah it weighs more but it's 60bhp more aswell with forced induction

I'd also like to make a track car from one, great standard base for handling

Iv driven both, and it is 100% slower through the gears up to about a ton

people forget that mine only weighs 830kgs its not just "had some back seats removed" and has a very close ratio box

Mini at 1210kgs kerb weight and 180 bhp is 148 bhp/ton

Mine is 150bhp per ton, couple that with the very close box and its not out of the question

incomparable really, we have a figure for the mini, but not for mine, as said the CR box will alter the torque its putting through the wheels quite a lot

torque also becomes less of a factor the lighter you go as you arent needing as much force to turn the wheels, F1 cars, are high bhp and comparitively little torque

noise, hard ride, and low ride height gives the illusion of fast race car,

where as a normal comfortable could well be better but you dont feel the speed as much

like doing 95 in a "real" mini feels faster than doing 110 in an a4

I can tell you now the puma is deffo faster below a ton, none of this internet theory shit you lot are going on about

im not an imbecile i can tell how fast a car is accelerating noisy or not, even the internet figures support my argument

im not going to lose much sleep over it if you dont believe it
