Just in the process on getting either of these ordered over the next few days, but im undecided which
the AD08's come in 205/45/16 at £456
the r888's come in 195/50/16 at £556
i personally think the ad08 is a better size? are the 888s really worth 100 quid more?? am i going to notice 100 quids worth of difference etc

I'd stay away from Fed, heard nothing but bad about them
The Ad08's come with 8mm tread too
I'd go for them

I dont know if it was down to suspension or what at snetterton but Grahams R888 seemed to hold out more to the heat. My AD08 got a bit warm and didnt seem as responsive have you looked at the V70a

Can't comment on AD08's but Ive done track days on R888's and A048's and there's nothing between them. R888's are flipping awesome. You think they're good at first and then you carry on and they get up to proper temperature and then they grip like glue! But they do disintegrate like glue aswell! But great tyres.
Also I'm pretty sure R888's have more tread than A048's.

The back does a lot of gripping when going into corners hard and fast

You thought about changing to 15" wheels? Would cost you around £470 for a set if you did..

think his brakes are possibly too big?
If they are 300mm 4 pots they 'should' fit behind a lot of wheels

those 2 tyres aren't even a comparism IMO....glad you're going for 888's though. I rate AD08's as I had them on the Mazda but after Snetterton I cannot believe how good R888's are. I want to try Federal 595 RSR's as I've heard good things about them and they're £135 a tyre instead of £240 but I'm worried they'll be nowhere near as good and I'm stuck with them

the AD-08 isnt all out and out track tyre though is it? more of a really good summer tyre for fast road use. I've got some AD-07's and they are great on the road, and im sure they'd be good on track - but i cant see them lasting long.
I'd be going with the R888's tbh.

Yes mate, thought I'd let you know about how good the FZ's are! and value for money, then realized they don't do 16". had a set on the last corsa Steve, not quite as grippe as the R888's
but seemed to last a hell of a lot longer before they went off, none stop at Cadwell for a hole
25 lap's. All depends on your driving style though too.
