if i was you just go to halfords and get the proper caliper paint, you will probably pay a couple of £ extra but it would be worth it. Mine came out well good. I did them about 5 months ago and they still look quality.

I extremley doubt the brakes will heat up to over 1000+ degrees...formula 1 cars just about manage that.

How much was the halfords stuff mate? Just had a look on Motorworlds site and they sell the Foliatec stuff for £20, seems steep that.

I was talking about the paint itself being heat resitant to 1000+

although you can generate a fair bit of heat with standard brakes... to the point of making the discs glow bright red if you push them hard enough.

this was why i questioned hammerite's useage...

im sure i paid about £9. I know for sure i wouldn't spend £20. It comes in a small tin. I had over half the tin left. I did 2 coats on each wheel and that included the drums.

Its not down with all the styling stuff in the ripspeed area tho, it will be with all the other car paints.

I've used hammerite and it works just fine.

Comes in more colour options as well.
