Well the civic finally sold and a chap from work said I could have his car at a very reasonable price!

The car has had over 6k spent on it and with just a few cosmetic touches and a new stereo/speakers it should be epic

Currently running 320bhp and 300+ lbs/ft....

Still undecided on the wheels... might look at either getting some ROTAs or some prodrive alloys but the gold ones will do for now!

Other than that I'm thinking light-medium tints all the way around and upgrading the stereo!

Thanks for looking!

Oh and the scooby community seem a friendly bunch people keep waving or putting their hands up

nice buy, good looking car, but im really not a fan of those big grey air ducts in the bumper, much prefer the blue covers instead over them but maybe thats just me, love it otherwise

Yea I know what you mean, I do like the standard air ducts on them....

These ones are carbon fiber and apparently are better for cooling!?

Awesome, I had WR blue blob a few years ago.

As already said I prefer the STi covers over those ducts.

Where has the 6k been spent?

Seth,

All the tuning work was carried out @ Powerstation.... The spec my mate provided:

Miltek sports exhaust / sports cat / balanced headers / turbo blanket.

ECUTek remaps (November 2007 latest) + rolling road graphic proof (320 bhp).

AST sports line adjustable suspension + top mounts.

Full Whiteline handling kit, front/rear anti-roll bars + links + camber bolts + sports tracking + anti-lift kit.

Zero sports street pads + cool air kit on bonnet scoop + intake pipe kit.

Cold air duct too K+N filter, from carbon fibre brake ducts (Chargespeed).

Goodridge braided brake hoses / uprated fuel pump.

Trakstar + cat 1 remote alarm.

Supraguard paint protection + Scotchguarded seats.

Front and rear strut braces / floor and boot mats.

Lower mesh grill / hydraulic bonnet lifters / new battery 2007+Prodrive clamp.

3 gauge pod ontop of dash, (Delfi type), boost/oil temp/oil pressure.

CTG propshaft / Forge dump valve / magnetic sump plug.

The carbon fiber propshaft cost over £1k alone...

Oooh some proper Mods there and powerstation are very good at setting these cars up. I bet yours handles superbly as they are pretty poor out of the box, all grip and not much else.

AST's

Whiteline kit

Defi's

Carbon prop shaft : not needed, was he a Gran Turismo player?

Haha - I think he bought it already modded mate! I need to get it on the dyno and see what it's making as I'm sure he said he had a hybrid turbo on there as well!

Cool - he did say that he had it mapped to squeeze even more out of it but the fuel economy was just ridiculous... I'm only averaging 21mpg now fuck knows what it was before

Mine made 330 bhp and 315lb/ft on standard turbo with ECUTEK remap, panel filter, prodrive sports cat & pump and TSL exhaust.

Peaked at 1.5 bar and held 1.4

They do drink, but you will be able to put that 320bhp down in nearly all weather conditions so you are set for the winter

They do look great on those wheels with that ride height. However the way its been set up by powerstation with the AST's & whiteline bits it will be a proper B road weapon, I would leave as is and not compromise it.

looks great. best colour for them aswell.

with regards to the handling as standard, my mate has a classic and rated the handling quite highly as standard. he has tein coilovers on now and it's even better, according to him.

The Classics only weigh 1150-1200kg and the newage is 200kg heavier. The classics are a lot more nimble and chuckable although the newage is much more rigid and forgiving (less snappy).

What Classic did your mate have? what cars has he driven before? Having had 3 classics and one newage and modded the chassis on all of them I feel I can provide an objective opinion rather then hear say. My STi v4 was 'ok' out of the box handling wise but again masses of grip and reasonable handling, not 'great'.

ARB's, solid droplinks & decent alignment really make a difference on these if only to dial out the awful understeer that these cars have from factory.

The OP's car has all the 'right' handling mods for sure as standard STi's do not handle great at all. The Litchfield and to an extent the Spec C variants are leagues ahead.
