Drove past a copper stood at the side of the road doing around 37mph, looked in my rear view to see him stood pointing some radar gun jobby at me. As soon as i saw this i let off and slowed down.
Should i be expecting to find a fixed penalty on my door mat sometime soon?
Never seen a copper getting your speed while driving away from him that's all so a little confused

If they've got the hand held gun, they have to come after you. You'll be fine

Always thought the procedure was to pull you over after using a radar gun, then issue a friendly chat/ticket. If they gun you and let you off I can't see how they can prove it unless the radar gun also took a photo of your plate with all the speed data on it, kinda like a camera van.

Well if it was a speed gun they would have come after you / have one on a tripod set up a few yards down. The speed guns can't take photos I don't think.
They might have even just been recording data, if they want to put a speed camera up they need proof that people speed.

You'll be fine, they'll have to come after you. The proof is showing you the speed on the display of the gun?
Oh and Nathy seems to have a COMPLETE lack of common sense

Community speed watch people if you ask me...
Expect a letter from the BiB telling you what a naughty boy you are after being caught by some local do-gooder
