Yes as prevous guy has said 150 give or take but that would be on a nice rebuilt engine, you can expect to have lost 15 bhp easy on an older engine tho.
As for chip changing just make sure it,s the right one for the ecu and someone who is good with a soldering iron will find it an easy job.

Edit: looking at the description I may have been wrong, 138bhp. It's a bloody rocket though, the power feels savage

On a naturally aspirated engine with 150bhp its alot of money to see 100bhp gains even 50.
High lift cams and adjustable pulleys.
Twin webber carbs (45s,48s) or throttle boddies
Head work (port, polish)
Exhaust and manifold
This could see around 200bhp. Buts your looking at alot of money.
After that your looking at bottom end work.

Everyone knows that brocade yellow adds atleast 10bhp.
That just shows you how unreliable rolling roads are. Would have hoped it was the higher of the two, was a quick engine.

Well 2k should see you a few tasty mods. Twin 45s, fast road cam and a decent exhaust should be more than enough fun.

Mine was 147 bhp would do a standing quarter mile in 14.0 seconds! It's all about power to weight. Still eat up most other hot hatches about.
