I know. Crazy! Thought the guy had got it wrong.
They are recognised by Arsenal and get plenty of tickets to every game, at good prices and cheap rail deals.
Largest UK Arsenal supporters club outside of London apparently

I have to wear a gay yellow and black Nike jacket to games now though with the supporters club logo all over it.

I only found out about it when I saw some guys in them at an away game. I was wondering who the dickheads in the yellow and black were.
I am now one of those dickheads.

Why do you "have" to wear the jacket? Do you all have to hold hands on the walk to and from the ground like

Yep.
Basically. They work the tickets for the big games on a points system from previous games attended. Because its free advertising, if you buy a jacket you get 15 points automatically.
I've bought a jacket to get 15 points so hopefully i'll be able to get a ticket to United away in November. If i've bought it I might as well wear it, and as i'll be sat with other supporters club members it will be noticed if I don't i reckon lol.

I don't "have" to wear it. But I may as well.
Its worth looking a dick for the benefits/tickets I can get!

Times like this I'm so glad I support the club I do. I could not do that, I like to go to games, with a group of mates, hit the pubs pre game, roll into the ground at 2:55, then hit some more pubs after.
If this was the only viable way I could get to a game it would be enough to put me off for good. I hope we never make the premier league.

Funny thing is. All that you described...meet up with mates, pub before, pub after etc etc is exactly why i've joined up, as thats what they do. Currently I go on my own to games.

I imagine it all to be so regimented though. Some guy telling you where and when to meet up. I can't do that. It's like going to an away game on the tea and buns, I'd rather walk!

I'm fine with someone telling me to meet in a pub at whatever time or at the station at whatever time. But thats me.

Is this technically a cult?

Technically yes. I believe Spurz fans are sacrificed occasionally as an offering to his holyness Arsene.

Damn spurs fans. Can't believe they're still allowed in Manchester after what they did during rangers uefa cup final.

No, we go to games with no plan, roll into wherever we are and just hit up some random places. We travel together, be that car or train.
A massive part of the experience for me is socialising with my best mates, I've been on the tea and buns once and it was just awful, full of weirdos and you have no control over your day. Tgeres been times in the past where we have been enjoying ourselves after the game so just booked into a hotel instead of going home
