A friend of mine has been building this for some time now, it is now fully installed and running, a proper modified car, showing anything is possible, a true sleeper

Theres loads of V8s out there, decent ones which spring to mind are the LS1, then engine out of the RS4, Mclaren engine, etc (they may cost a little more though )

Nothing wrong with a good old Rover unit.
Yeah, it may be underpowered, but it'll be nice lazy torque with a good soundtrack.
Plus, I image the mechanical simplicity of those older units make them ideal for these sorts of conversion.

i dont see anything special about it at all, just an old motor with a old engine in. that wont be fast

Nothing special about a redtop in a Corsa either, old hat, everyone's had one or knows someone who has., but it's what you do to make it individual. It's different, a lot of work has been put into it to make it a nice car, that's what counts, is speed everything?

Then you have a fair bit to learn, it's not what you've got but what you can do with it that counts, I've shown up a few people on the likes of a CBR600F in my Polo 9N TDI, as they're fast in a straight line, and thats about it, can't keep with me round the twists, I've also shown up my brother on his CBR600F whilst riding his old Cagiva Mito 125 which he changed from as it was 'too slow', it's all down to driver capability, no matter how 'fast' you are, the police's speed gun is faster
