ive noticed i have an oil leak, ive looed underneath, and its coming from the drivers side.

any idea what it could be? im thinking oil filter, but not sure where it is, and the oil light keeps flashing on and off a few times.

need some help.

What car/engine?

If the oil light flashes, it might be like my XE where the oil is leaking on to the plug.

Crankshaft seal? Sump? Is it leaking down head? Rocker gasket?

Small plug, front of cambelt, rubber leaking, just pushed it in and oil leaked out. temp, taped up ..

is this suitable X reg

Dont get a 3 quid one from e-bay. I went through 2 in a year and the last one only lasted 3 weeks bvefore it started leaking again. Pay a bit more for a better one e.g. a tenner and put some PTFE tape on the thread before you screw the new one in or better still get one from VX.

i got one from motor factors, £5.50 wont be having the car long , will do me till new year.
