Depends on what over all condition it is in. Price of clean Novas is just going upwards so could be worth getting and fixing.

That information is pretty much invalid when looking for a nova.. J reg and under is best imo for pre cat test on mot, red is one of the best colours for a nova too but what's the shell like? Any rot on rear arches, battery tray, suspension turrets..? Make sure you check it over well because if you aren't handy with a welder it's could become very exspensive come mot time.
