need to sort this car out, whats the best way to make most money do you think, sell or split?
2001 Saxo Furio in Wicked Red
VTS engine fully working
120k on car, 80k on engine
New battery and starter motor
BMC air filter, straight through exhaust, no cat
Furio interior
VTS wheels, 4x good tyres
Bonnett dented, bodywork tatty, insides clean
No radio
Locks need changing to match key off ignition
Central locking, sunroof, elec windoes etc
40mm lowered front, not on rear
No tax, 3 months MOT, little history
Ready to drive off, sell itas is, how much you think i should be asking? Or split for parts?
Thanks

I'd hazzard a guess at £600. I bought a VTR with plenty of tax and test a couple of weeks ago for £650,
I think you'd make more breaking it for sure.

id take 600 for it, might bang it on ebay for 650 open to offers. If i get slightly more in splitting it, its not worth my time and effort thought. Was expecting 350 lol

Marty taking an engine out is a piece of piss, especially a tiny one like a VTS one
Looking at it again splitting is the only option. I'd say £700 or there abouts. Will be a pain though as to claw back money it's things like alternator, doors, gearbox etc etc that will all add up!

Some1 would pay £650 for that no problem. Young guy who wants to do a bit insurance dodging and have a quick car.
Bang it on Gumtree for £700 ono would shift no bother.
Splitting it you will see more probably, but then it takes a while to see decent cash, then you are left with a lot of shite too.
Splitting cars for a living is easier than doing it in your spare time. Ive done it on my driveway a few times, and you never see the cash you are expecting from the start. It will start to drag on and you will get pissed off having to strip shit off for pocket money.
Sell it whole.

Tempted!
Will go at that price though. I sold 106 GTi on a W plate 4 month ago with 118k and was just lowered on Rallye steels.
I'd have it but not enough room at moment.

Definetly try selling that as a whole. Loads of guys out there will want one to insure as a furio. The other guys could even buy it to get parts for their broken VTR/VTS.
If it doesnt go within a few weeks then break it, will be dead easy and the engine will sell no problem for half the money you're wanting, again a couple of weeks later just weigh the rest of it in what hasnt sold, dont forget the battery, alternator, cat are all worth money at the weighbridge.
