is it still the law for pint pots to be marked? just been in revs in town for tea and they were serving pints in 500ml tumblers as usual. i asked for a pint of becks in a san miguel glass and they guy started telling me that was illegal.
annoys me because its a deal with uni that we get becks for £2 which beats the £3.50 for san miguel

They also can't put different drinks in branded glasses...
Sounds to me like you're just looking for an argument.

It's not illegal for them to put the wrong drinks in the wrong glasses, it's just against the terms set out by the brewers. You have to tell them you're going to put the drink in the wrong glass though. Or at least that's what I was told in my 10 min training session on how to be a barman a few years back.

well im not, but if im asking for a pint thats what i expect to receive. same as if you went to the petrol station and the pumps were pumping out less than 900ml and charging you for a litre. although petrols cheaper.

Lee is right. Generation is wrong. If you stick fosters in a carling glass its the brand owners beef not anyone elses.

Yeah, that was my thinking, and with us bumming the EU thought it'd be fine.
In that case I'd complain my arse off for not getting my extra 68ml when ordering a pint and tbh, consider getting trading standards involved if they're charging for a pint and you're getting less.

I didn't say it was law, I'm saying they aren't supposed to, if I'm wrong, them I'm wrong...
I personally can't see myself going through effort of complaining. Although, I agree you're well within your rights too

Too right. Its a blatent piss take. You even have to top up a pint if the customer dnt want the 'head' on it. Like you said, folk would be in outrage if they were short changed 68ml at the fuel pump
