Going down to London on Friday with the misses for the weekend, got a meal & drinks in the hotel sorted for the Saturday night but we are wanting to go out for a few drinks Friday night but are a bit stuck as to where to go.
We're thinking either Camden, Soho or Leicester Square
Thing is we are staying in the Rafeyal which is near Clapham Junction so a bit stuck with regards to them places as they look quite a distance on the tube map.
Couple of questions:
1) Where (if any) of the above would you recommend?
2) What time do Tubes tend to stop, and if they do, how much would we be looking at for a taxi back should we decide to stay out "late"
Any help appreciated

Avoid Leicester Square.
Covent Garden is nice.

Full of idiots? Thought that might be the case.
She likes Covent Garden so if its alright there then we'll probably head up there.

Just noticed you're staying at Clapham Junction. That's a bit of a way out.
Last tubes are at about 00:30, depending on which line.
You could either get a taxi or a night bus if you don't mind possibly being stabbed.

Clapham Junction is easy enough to get to by nightbus, but its not ideal. Camden is a bit manic on a Friday night, but theres plenty of places to go. For decent food, theres Gilgamesh. Theres also the cuban bar which seems quite good, as well as Proud.
I'd go with the avoid Leicester Square as well. Soho is apparently a good night out, always busy.

Yeah being in Clapham Junction is a bit of a bastard, I booked the hotel in a bit of a rush as it was a good deal without realising there wasn't much access to it.
Cheers for the advice chaps. If push comes to shove we can always taxi it back I suppose

If you're going to get a taxi, book one, rather than hailing one. Black cabs are fleecing buggers at the best of times.
Although, don't forget about mainline trains. If you get to Victoria, the normal trains run to Clapham Junction hourly on the hour after 1am.

Clapham Junction isn't that far. Night Bus N19 or N35 will get you home from a range of places. Taxi probably wouldn't be that much...
or just barclays 'boris' bike it
