WARNING: Worst pics in the world. Only had my SLR on me that doesnt have a lense as wide as a normal digital. the progress pics will be better.
Right. £46500 paid put 30% of that down so we own a decent chunck from the off
Main things to do, inside: Sort damp on all of downstairs, new kitchen, new bathroom, paint it all, new fuseboard, new boiler, remove cylinder cupboard
Outside: paint the window and door lintels, and paint the bricks below the litte shoulder at the bottom. new beading round the windows and give them a paint too
Sounds more than it is really, everything apart from the DPC we can do ourselves.

more dodgy pics, bear in mind they are a week old, there is more progress as I type. Il do another update at the weekend hopefuly.
main things done so far
Damp proofing, meter of plaster knocked off all the way around the kitchen and living rooms, drilled and injected, then DriCoat rendered, then skimmed over the top. Got no pics of it skimmed yet, it does look smashing though, had all the cimney breast done so its nice and square

Bathroom is out, tiles knocked off, all the pipes out. we have the tiles and the suite ready to go in. as I said, we shall see what happens at the weekend

Bedroom 2 has had the cylinder cupboard taken out. It obscured the window a bit and just looked tatty so out it came. our plasterer mate is going to patch it up next week

Ripped the built in wardrobes out in the big bedroom as they were fucked anyway, the room has been skimmed around them so the grey bits of wall need a thin skim on them, and the ceiling needs doin, has a bit crack in it and that disgusting fan is going

Don't know if you'll post it, but how much do you expect the refurb to cost?
Goes a way to explaining how the house was cheap!

Gonna try and keep it under 50k. so 6 and a half grand. DPC was 900 quid bathroom suite was 350 tiles and adhisive was 150. looking at 1500 for a kitchen and 700 for a boiler. 200 for a back door and 500 for other odds and sods.
Had a decent day there today. bathroom is nearly all tiled now. should have that room done this week

£46500 my house cost 4 times that and it's smaller
looks to be a nice area too. that front view is nice.
with regards to the cylinder cupboard, are you moving the tank elsewhere? if so, how easy is this to do?
our's is in the bathroom cupboard and i'd like to knock the cupboard out and put a shower in it's place, hen move the tank into my bedroom, but i'm wondering whether it's going to be expensive to relocate it.

we only have 2 bedrooms and our landing is literally 1mx1m with 3 doors coming off it
it's only because we have a garage on the side and a conservatory that it feels a bit bigger and looks wider than it is.
