Ok, need some advice here.
GF starts a new job soon and will need business insurance to claim back for fuel. She is a named driver on my policy. If i were to call up and add business insurance to the policy, will this cover her?? Or will i just need to specify business insurance on her part??
Roughly, from people who have had business insurance on there policy, does it massively affect the premium?? Is it worth changing to a company who specialise in this sort of thing??

The options are normally:
SDP
SDP + Commuting
Business use for policy holder only
Business use for policy holder and named drivers
I'm on the policy holder only level, only added £25 odd to my yearly policy

Yeah, if you do a lot of business miles it'll effect the cost more.

Oh right.
So just be a case of putting down a certain amount of miles per year and going from there.

Aye the Clio would be handy. Might consider sticking the Astra up for sale. Just depends where she's going to need to travel to and if she's gonna need something economical.

Insurance is more expensive if you do more miles, doesn't matter is they are SDP, commuting or business.

Do you need to state a total mileage for business use??
Or is it all included in the total annual mileage??
Im down for 8k per year, but don't do anywhere near that. Even with her using it for work, we probably still won't go over 8k.

Adding business use to mine didn't even make the price go up.
