Any 14xe's or early 1600 8v flywheels.
It will make a difference with acceleration.

A 1.2 8v flywheel is the same as a 1.6 8v nova gte one. Weights f**k all compared to the standard x16 flywheel. You use the 1.6 nova gte clutch to handle to power.

x14xe fly wheel is around 7.9kg give or take and x16xe has a pot fly wheel witch weights just off 10kg cant remember exact weights off top of my head but x14xe is lighter but use the x14xe clutch and pressure plate with it

I went all out and bought a billet 8v flywheel, it was the same thickness as the ring gear!
Cost £170 and are still available of a lad on migweb and they weigh roughly 2kg.
It made my engine rev very freely and it accelerated like a motorbike ha ha.
Every kilo off the flywheel is equivalent to 25kg off the car!
Information supplied is via a very impressive engine builder.

Not quite true
But yes, removing mass from any rotational part of the vehicle is hugely beneficial than removing static mass.

I hope you realise you will need to do a lot more work on the engine other than slap a light weight flywheel on it to get it to rev to 8000 rpm

The engine won't be revving any higher though.

I think he was called vxlgsi on migweb, I'll try find a link for you.
8k rpm isn't hard to achieve with the 16xe or 14xe.
Arp bolts, and a good oil recirculating kit on there and a stand alone manage ment on tb's or carbs, hydraulic tappets will be fine for brief 8k moments if you plan to sit at high rpm then make your original tappets solid.
Been there done it etc etc before anyone decides to say you can't do it!
Won plenty of trophys to prove it as well lol
