I know I've posted up about all this stuff before, but I still haven't got anything sorted yet and my separates are now sat in the bedroom gathering dust
Anyways... as Christmas is coming up soon and I'm being asked what I'd like, I thought of getting an AV receiver for the living room as a present (probably the one and only present if it costs a few hundred!)...
I would like something that can connect to the TV, Bluray player, Xbox 360 and ideally that my iPad can connect to via WiFi or bluetooth to play tunes from via the Spotify app.
Any ideas on what would work for the above?
I already have two floorstanding speakers to connect the receiver to, but once we've finished redecorating the house I will upgrade the speakers to something nicer but for now they will be fine with whatever I get.

What's your budget?
Have a look at the Denon 1713 which is around £350 - supports Airplay (iirc 2 channel only and wired but obviously you can use a bridge), network audio streaming, pretty decent sound quality. Doesn't support bluetooth though, nor upscaling and connectivity is a little limited.
Edit - Have a look at the Pioneer 922, from what i remember it supports Airplay, wireless and bluetooth although i believe wireless/bluetooth is optional extras.

No idea on budget as I'm not sure what sort of money I'd need to spend on such a receiver.
Thanks for the suggestions Dom. So I presume I need to make sure it supports AirPlay for the iPad streaming side of things?

This is the amp I bought last year and for what it cost, I really can't recommend it highly enough!

You can also get an app for the iPad/iPhone and control it all over wifi which is very handy :-)
