Moved into a new house in July, little village, middle of nowhere.
house is semi-detached, and the closes house that isn't attached is a good 20metres away.
So today i get in and theres a letter from the council saying i have been 'banging' too loud - i'd like to make clear, i bang very quietly
The person who has obviously complained has apologised to me for her teenage kids (last time she said - you probably know by now they suffer from *insert mental illness here* - sorry wasn't in the village newsletter) noise several times, screaming at each other and playing 'Daveskater' music at midnight.
Daughter goes to bed at 7pm, and stays 3/4 nights a week, so i definitely wouldn't be banging loudly when she was in bed.
Is this just something she has done so if i ever complain about her noise my complaint seems less credible?

also i am hardly every there, work 40-45 hours a week and takes 1/2 hour travelling between home and work, and if i'm not at work and not with daughter i am at gym, i use my home to sleep and watch illegal films though my mac's computers (they're about 10w).
actually in the mood to shit on her lawn.

Reply to the letter asking have they got the wrong house.
Even better, hand it in next door and say it must be for her

how do you know who complained? obviously being semi detached you'd assume it was your next door neighbour, but the only way to be sure is to ask her.
i'd ignore the letter anyway, or maybe next time she's having building work done, complain.

I have a nuisance neighbour, he's round every single day asking me to do things at his yard/hose/barns or whatever and it's doing my fucking tits in.
He came round the other week beeping the horn outside at 9am and I got up to see what he wanted, the auld cunt wanted me to fix his collar so he could go to church

I'd ask the neighbour, try and keep it civil though as petty things can build into massive issues and it's really not worth it.

we had a letter at my parents house saying the dog barked...
I wanted to write a litter to the miserable old bitch over the road to congratulate her on her Key stage 1 education and ask her what noise does a cow make?

I once had a very noisy neighbour, constantly banging on the walls and shouting at 3am.
It got so bad, I could barely hear myself drilling

my dads next door neighbour knocked on his door a while back as they could hear my sister's tv while they were sleeping.
it was 1am on a saturday night/sunday morning.
my dad went up to check my sisters telly and the volume was at 17
