List of nominees has now been announced

My money is on Bradley Wiggins. Olympic Gold medal and Tour De France triumph.

Muzza, first Grand Slam winner in a million years and double Olympic medalist.

Plus he hates the English.

its on a public vote though so Hammer is probably right as Murray will get the entire Scottish population voting for him.

Who is up for team award and coach award?

And Paris-Nice, Tour De Romandie and Criterium Du Dauphine.

The 3 biggest stage races you can win in cycling after the 3 Grand Tours.

Never been won by same person in same year iirc.

His achievements spread much beyond what he did in July.

Edit - I guess what I am saying is I agree with you, Wiggins should win it!

Hoy is a legend and in any other year would walk it, same as a few others actually.

Agree with that.

Only thing with Hoy is we have seen him do it all before where as Wiggins has done something never done before by a Brit.

I love Wiggins though so I am very biased here.

Wiggins, Farah and Ennis will be top 3 I'd guess.

I like Hoy. He isn't a massive cunt like Murray is.

Can see Wiggins not winning due to how tarnished the drug running sport of cycling has become recently.

Murray cant win because he has no personality and the title suggests you should have one.

Mo Farah for me. Just seems such a lovely lad.

Ennis is a good shout as she is fit and was sort of shoe-horned into being the face of the Games in the summer.

Ben Ainslie has just been crowned world sailor of the year, is doing incredibly well in the America's Cup challenge series, is the most decorated Olympic sailor of all time and the fourth highest British Olympic athlete as well but he won't win as no one really understands who he is or just how at the top of his game he is
