I was in one of these at the weekend. Other than the odd pair of 99p gloves, absolutely nothing was reduced, they just had loads of signs everywhere saying closing down sale along with the usual X% off they have on a normal day.

The gear they sell isn't all that bad, provided you don't use it for going out clobber

but the 'sales' are never 'sales'.

I remember going in 2 Christmases ago and the bird behind the counter told me they were shutting down. Taking their fucking time are they not?

Might have discussed this on here before. In my local one, every single member of staff ,without exception, looks at least a bit special needs, with most looking a lot more special needs.

Is this the same nationwide?

Yep, girl who serves at the one at Monks Cross in York definitely has learning difficulties.
