well i thought id give my shitty corsa a winter check up fluids etc.. , while doing this i noticed my tyres are cracked i.e really big long cracks in the sidewall- im guessing the tyres which are kuhmo ecsta sports have done their job, treads running a bit low anyway so was going to replace them with some yokos or toyos
but im stuck ive currently got 195 45's as much as i like them i find it does scream a bit at top end and isnt as comfortable as i would like it, i have run 195 50's before and it felt more comfier as i had a sidewall lol!
i just wanted your opinions really- considering my car is pretty low(80-90 mm drop roughly) still on gaz coilovers all around- with 195 50's would i have to trim the arches or not ?
so would 195 50's be the way foward? or do i stay with 195 45's...??
can of worms opened

15's?
If so, 45's are correct and 50's aren't.
There won't be much difference in it, but the 45's will give a correct speedo reading.

I'm going to buy 195 50 15s next as the 45s just aren't that good on country and B roads tbh.

Are you sure? when I had my corsa they told me that 50 profile would read incorrect.

ive always thought 50's gave a more correct speedo rating too..
i am warming towards 195 50's though might just get a decent set of 50's and trim the arches back a bit and hopefully that should be sorted :/

When I had my Corsa on 15s I lowered it 35mm. 50 profile tyres scrubbed really bad at the back, 45 profile tyres were just fine.

That will be down to your wheel offset looking at your profile picture your wheels are aftermarket and not GM Sam

I've always liked 50's, better price, and ride.

My puma runs 195/50/15s as standard, and it's a pure bred race car so they must be good.
